New Brand Development for Marigot Bay Marina in St. Lucia

In June of 2021, JMA Ventures and Southern California-based LLJ Ventures closed on purchasing Marigot Bay Resort and Marina, a luxury resort and superyacht marina on the island of St. Lucia in the Southern Caribbean. Soon after, it was decided by the ownership group to put the marina under the direction of a professional marine group, and US Marina Group was tapped to manage all aspects of marina operations. It was also decided that while still part of the resort, the marina needed its own, separate brand. 

This spring, as part of our 360° marina management program, USMG unveiled the marina’s new name and comprehensive brand.

Name: Marigot Bay Yacht Haven
Brand positioning: MBYH is the premier yachting destination on the island and the only superyacht marina with a 5-star resort.
Included in this marina brand development were:

     
“There’s a rich history of service to the international yachting community here that must be preserved. We created a traditional, upscale look and feel with this new brand, so past guests could feel confident they would receive the same 5-star service they have become accustomed to,” said Kevin Quirk, Partner with US Marina Group.

In addition to the new brand, USMG has several upgrades in the works. 

  • 42 Berths with a maximum length of 280ft and maximum draft of 20′
  • Fixed mega-yacht docks with improved front decking/fendering underway
  • In-slip high-speed fueling at each berth (diesel and gasoline)
  • Complimentary wireless internet access and ethernet connection
  • Dredging project coming this fall
  • Refurbished sewage pump-out system
  • Newly installed electrical upgrades to be completed this fall
  • Newly installed 60-cycle converter is to be completed this fall
